On World Mission Sunday, October 19, 2003, Pope John Paul II solemnly declared Mother Teresa of Calcutta Blessed. Once again, the call which Jesus addressed to Mother Teresa in 1946, “Come be My light”, rang out through St. Peter’s Square as a call to all Christians to shed the light of Christ upon the darkness of our culture of death.
Perfect happiness is within the reach of every one of us, if only we will strive for holiness in love. And since Jesus is Love incarnate, it is from Him that we must learn to love. Perfect happiness is achievable by those who strive for holiness in the love of Christ.
I have never, not even for a moment, doubted the existence of God, but I know that some people have, and do. If you want to believe in God, and enjoy a personal relationship with Him, begin first by helping others. Show them some love. This will bear fruit in special graces that will transform your soul.
On 13 May 2000, after disclosing the main contents of the third part of the Fatima secret, Cardinal Sodano observed: According to the ‘little shepherds’ – their interpretation was recently confirmed by Sister Lucia – ‘the bishop in white’ who prays for the faithful stands for the Pope. As he makes his arduous way toward the Cross amid the dead bodies of martyrs (bishops, priest, monks, nuns, and numerous lay people), he too falls to the ground, apparently dead, under a hail of bullets.
It remains a little known fact that, seven years prior to Our Lady’s revelations at Fatima, Portugal had fallen under the control of the Freemasons. Dismissing religion as the “opiate of the masses”, the “progressive powers” resolved to destroy the Catholic faith in two generations. Persecution of the Church ensued. Repressive measures were enacted against the clergy. The Primate of Portugal and other troublesome bishops and priests were exiled. In 1915 Lisbon was declared the atheistic capital of the world. The royal family was murdered down to the last child.
